New postReduce Your Holiday Stress By Listening to Music

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

Listening to music can have a tremendously relaxing effect on our mind, body and soul. Music can absorb our attention, it acts as a distraction at the same time it helps to explore emotions. This means it can be a great aid to meditation, helping to prevent the mind wandering. As the holiday season swings into full gear and the pressure to spend money grows, so does our stress levels. We tend to spend most of our time focusing on how to avoid stress, thereby creating more of it. Listening to relaxing or soothing sounds is something we can do while riding in the car, doing work around the home or while taking a relaxing bath or shower. Never underestimate the power of music. I find the best way to listen for relaxation is with my handy dandy little mp3 player. I can download hours of my favorite music and lay back, close out the world, breath and relax.

If music doesn't do it for you and maybe you wish to explore the world of meditation. Try Totally Tranquil. It is a stress relief program designed to sychronize your brainwaves to achieve a desired state or feeling.Don't be afraid to explore other options when it comes to your health
